The design phase of our major home remodel was very daunting, for months we tried to manage the design on our own, only to find ourselves hopelessly farther away from our goal at every turn. We finally decided that we needed help; we needed to hire a firm that could walk us through the process using a systematic/proven approach. When I picked up the permitted plans the city planner who approved the documents told me they were the best plans he'd reviewed this year.

Casita. His expertise in multiple fields, including contracting,
permitting, and, of course, architecture, all proved invaluable. With
superb back office support from wife Misty, not only did he create
and help bring to life the structure, but along the way they helped
in a variety of ways, including reviewing and getting quit claims on
old easements that enabled us to expand our rear lot line by nearly

My husband and I worked with Jamie on the planning of a large
porch that extends the full length of the rear of our house. The
porch includes many facets including a full outdoor kitchen. Jamie
was great to work with and had so many great ideas that really
improved our original idea. We would get together and have some
brainstorming. He encouraged us to take our time in the planning and
it sure paid off as small details came up that really improved the
project. Jamie is always professional and delivers what he promises
but he is also really fun to work with. Although our home being in a
flood plain has somewhat delayed some aspects of our project, we are
really enjoying where we are currently in the project and look
forward to fully completing the project as our parcel gets removed
from the flood plain (due to local development mitigation).

I found Above & Beyond at a Home show and the name says
it all. Jamie and his wife are an AMAZING team!! My mothers house
burned down December 2011 and we needed to rebuild which you would
think is no problem....well my father build the house in the late
60's and I wanted to keep the existing foundation as it was not
harmed because I wanted to use the same footprint and Jamie said no
problem. It took A LOT of work on Jamie's side but he kept his word
and it turned out better than I had even hoped for. Jamie's
communication is top notch! He does not try and push his thoughts
into your plans but will take your idea and bring them to life and
offers some ideas that are Fabulous!! Above & Beyond was so
efficient that my plans were ready in 3 DAYS!!!! Yes we got to move
to the front of the pile because of it being fire related but Placer
County didn't have a single mark on my plans to change!!! As you can
see I highly recommend using Jamie, no job is too big or too small.
